2013 will mark James Fuller’s 15th season as a professional indoor football coach and the third as the Raiders’ head coach. He compiled a 17-9 record his first two years here and an overall 39-37-1 record in six seasons as a head coach.  He guided the Raiders to an undefeated record at home in 2012 and an appearance in the PIFL Championship Game.  In 2010 he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Dallas Vigilantes of the Arena Football League (AFL). He finished the season as the team’s interim Head Coach. Prior to that Fuller served three years with the Dallas Desperados of the AFL – as a wide receiver / defensive back coach in his first year, and as defensive coordinator in 2007-2008. During that stretch, the Desperados achieved a 40-8 record in three regular seasons, winning two divisional titles. Fuller broke into the AFL in 2004 with the Philadelphia Soul as defensive coordinator. His squad that year was number one in defense against the pass.

Fuller was Head Coach of the Bakersfield Blitz Arena Football League 2 (AF2) in 2002-2003, winning the Western Conference championship in 2002. Prior to that he was the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Oklahoma Wranglers (also part of the AF2 league) in 1999-2000. Fuller is a native of Tacoma, Washington and holds a degree in criminal justice from Portland State University, where he was a two-time All American safety. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1992 and played on that team for three seasons. Fuller also played for the Scotland Claymores, and in 1996 led NFL-Europe in interceptions. He finished his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1996

   
Jarvis Billy Jarvis - Defensive Coordinator

Billy Jarvis returns to the Raiders for his third year as an assistant coach.  As defensive coordinator in 2012, his squad was #1 against the run, second against the pass and in total defense, and dominated the league in takeaways, forcing 32 opponents’ turnovers.  The Raiders’ ball-hawking defense picked off 21 passes and returned seven for touchdowns. Jarvis also spent time as defensive coordinator of the Richmond Speed professional indoor team during 2001-2003. He played college ball at James Madison University and Ferrum College, where he was the captain of the 1977 National Championship team.
   
Joe Valvoda Joe Valvoda - Assistant Coach/Offensive Line

Joe Valvoda returns to the Raiders for his third season leading the offensive line. The Raiders’ O-line paved the way for a dominating rushing attack which ranked first in the PIFL in yards, yards per rush, and rushing touchdowns.  The Raiders proved they could get yardage on the ground when it counted, notching 25 rushing TDs from inside the red zone.  A four year letterman at Edinboro University (PA), he played indoors professionally with the Green Bay Blizzard and the Richmond Bandits. He has just completed his seventh year as an assistant coach at Douglas Freeman High School in Richmond.
   
Billy Parker Billy Parker - Assistant Coach/Defensive Backs

Billy Parker returns to the Raiders to lead the defensive backfield.  A Mechanicsville native, Parker played at William & Mary before catching on with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers.  He played three years in the Arena Football League and racked up some amazing numbers.  Consistently among the league leaders in interceptions and passes defended, he finished second in Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year voting.  He has played since 2009 with the Montreal Alouettes, winning two Grey Cups and being named the team’s franchise defensive player.
