The Richmond Raiders announced today that they will be at Big Al’s Sports Bar in the West End on Thursday February 25th to sign autographs, give away prizes, and say hello to their fans before the season starts. “We consider Big Al’s our official West End gathering place, and what a great way to get to know the guys that will be playing on the field, up close and personal, but in a personal setting like a Sports Bar,” said Brooks Gordon, Director of Media and marketing. Coach Mike Siani a veteran of the NFL and Super Bowl winner added, “This is the first week of training camp and we want our fans to see the guys they will watch from the stands.”
“We have fans all over the area, not just in Richmond so we wanted to do something in the West End.” Said Jack Bowman, General Manager of the Raiders, he also added, “Al’s is a great place in the West End for sports watching and a great place to watch football so we thought that for this area of Richmond, it would be a great place to have fans come by and say hi and meet the Richmond Raiders and the Lady Raiders.”
“All of our players will be there on Thursday and we will also have some of the Lady Raiders there and maybe even our Mascot, so come on out and have some fun.” Said Jack Bowman, General Manager, Jack also added, “We want to make sure that the community and our fans know that they can meet our players and that we are accessible to them, that’s what our team is all about, making sure that we can connect to our fan base.”
The team and coaches wanted to extend an invitation to all fans to come by and get an autograph, watch a replay of the game against the All Stars played January, 23, 2010 and have a chance to win some great prizes.
