April is “Month of the Military Child.” More than 1.7 million children have at least one parent serving in the military, and an estimated 900,000 children have had one or both parents deployed multiple times over the last ten years. Many child development and mental health experts believe military children need support now as much as ever as our military’s involvement in war zones overseas winds down. As part of this effort, Garrisons around the world have developed events and celebrations such as the one the Lady Raiders participated in at Ft Lee, which from all accounts was a huge success.
Thanks you Lady Raiders for doing your part!
